Are you a Youth Opportunities Personal Leadership Program graduate ready to take the next step toward your future?

The PROSPER Scholarship Program is here to support you in reaching your study and career goals.

Through in-kind support, you can receive $1,000+ in value to help you move closer to your aspirations.

What You can Apply for

You can apply for in-kind financial support such as driving lessons or an Officeworks gift card. As part of your application, you’ll be asked to explain how this support will help you achieve your study and future career goals.

Driving Lessons

Receive the opportunity to work towards gaining valuable driving experience.

Officeworks GiftCard

Receive an Officeworks Gift Card for education support items like a laptop, iPad, art supplies, desk or stationary to support with study or work goals

Submission Deadline

The submission deadline for all applications is Friday 10 April 2026 at 3:00pm ACST.

To be considered, you must submit your completed application before this time. Late or incomplete submissions may not be accepted.

Before you Apply

Before starting your application, make sure you have prepared the following mandatory documents:

  • Evidence of Financial Need (see FAQs below for details)

  • A copy of your most recent school report

  • A completed referee form

You will need to ask a teacher at your school to act as your referee. Download the referee form, have it completed, and ensure it is ready to upload in (PDF format) before you begin your application.

Strengthen your Application

You are encouraged to showcase your personal leadership and commitment to your goals. You may upload up to three additional supporting documents, such as:

  • Certificates or qualifications in your area of interest

  • Written references

  • Awards

  • Media articles (e.g. social media or newspaper features)

Important Application Information

  • Applications must be submitted online before the submission deadline.

  • Incomplete applications (e.g. missing attachments, blank sections, or unsigned pages) may not be accepted.

  • If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must be available to assist with parts of your application, including providing a digital signature.

  • If you are 18 or older, a parent/guardian signature is not required.

How to Apply

To apply for a scholarship, complete the online application form. Before you begin, ensure all required documents are ready to upload.

FAQs

  • The PROSPER Scholarship is designed to support you if you are experiencing financial or other disadvantage, helping you access opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach.

    You may be eligible to apply if you currently receive one of the following:

    • School Card Scheme

    • Austudy or ABSTUDY

    • Youth Allowance

    • JobSeeker

    • Health Care Card

    • Pension Concession Card

    If you, or someone you live with, receives any of these, your financial situation has already been assessed by the government. As part of your application, you’ll need to provide proof in the form of:

    • A copy of your card

    Or

    • A letter from Centrelink that outlines the benefits received

    Please note: Family Tax Benefit, expired cards, or a Medicare card are not accepted as proof of financial need.

  • Your school report helps us understand how you are demonstrating personal leadership in your learning.

    You don’t need to have perfect grades to apply - we encourage all graduates to apply! We’re looking at your effort, progress, and commitment to your goals.

    If you are successful, you may be asked to provide a report in the future so we can see how the scholarship has supported your progress.

  • Include any documents that strengthen your application and show your motivation, achievements, and commitment to your goals.

    This could include:

    • Certificates or qualifications

    • Awards

    • Written references

    • Newspaper or media articles

    • Examples of your work

  • You will be notified of the outcome of your application via text message by Friday 15 May 2026.

    Make sure your phone number is correct in your application so you don’t miss this update. If your number changes, please contact us as soon as possible.

  • If your application is successful:

    • Your gift card will be sent to you electronically via email

    • A certificate will be delivered to your school

    You are encouraged to celebrate your achievement with your school community, for example at an assembly.

  • Yes, you are welcome to apply again.

    Scholarship rounds open in both Semester 1 and Semester 2 each year. If you are successful, you may re-apply for additional scholarships for up to two years after completing the program.
