Our Approach

Delivered by trained school educators, the program guides students through nine evidence-based tools and topics that build self-awareness, empathy, respect, and personal responsibility.

It focuses on practical skills students can apply in everyday school life and relationships, empowering them to take ownership of their thoughts, feelings, and actions. In doing so, it enhances wellbeing, promotes positive behaviour, and strengthens a sense of connection across the school community.

How it works in your school.

  • Designed for standard Year 5–6 class sizes

  • Delivered over one school term in nine 45-minute lessons, aligned with the Australian Curriculum

  • Facilitated by trained school educators, supported by Youth Opportunities

  • Includes access to an online platform with lesson plans, resources, and guidance materials

  • "The program has been great. The resources are relevant and contextualised well, the content is engaging and easy to deliver. I have really enjoyed teaching the Power-Up program and look forward to running it again next year."
