Types of Gifts You Can Leave:

  • Residuary Gift: A percentage or the remainder of your estate after caring for loved ones.

  • Percentage Gift: A fixed percentage of your estate—any amount from 1% to 100%.

  • Specific Gift: A set amount of money, property, shares, or a valuable item.

Youth Opportunities proudly delivers programs in the South East region of South Australia, working with schools in Mount Gambier, Allendale East, Millicent, Penola and Keith. These programs are largely due to the funding we receive from key donors in the area including individual major donors, foundations, local councils and other philanthropic partners. Our South East Community Hub is comprised of community members who volunteer their time and networks to support our fundraising and promotion in the community and tirelessly advocate for our programs, actively working with us in partnership to improve the future of young people in the region.

A Legacy of Hope

When Joy attended her first Youth Opportunities graduation it was the moment she truly understood the lasting difference that the program could make.

"I remember a young girl who was finding it so hard to even stand up in front of the audience. She had tears as she read out her speech but her Youth Opportunities trainer stood by her side and was there as a support, not to do it for her, but to help her achieve this goal herself. It was then that I thought wow, this is something special right here."

Joy's decision to make a gift in her Will reflects her belief in the importance of Youth Opportunities which she hopes will continue through her legacy.

"Giving young people the opportunity to be their best, no matter their circumstances is really important to me. I like that through Youth Opportunities I can see the impact of my gift each time a young person graduates from their program."
