Adelaide Airport helps young South Australians take flight

Graduation day at Woodville High School, supported by Adelaide Airport

As another school year draws to a close, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our valued Youth Opportunities partner, Adelaide Airport, for their ongoing support in helping us deliver life-changing programs to young people across South Australia.
As the nation’s fifth-largest domestic and international airport, Adelaide Airport welcomes more than 8.7 million passengers each year and plays a vital role in connecting South Australia with the rest of the country and the world. Since becoming a proud supporter of Youth Opportunities in 2023, their generous partnership has enabled 60 young people from Woodville High School and Para Hills High School to participate in the Youth Opportunities Personal Leadership Program.
Beyond funding program placements, Adelaide Airport has gone a step further by providing scholarships that include driving lessons and iPads, equipping students with practical life skills and the technology they need to succeed in their education.
This commitment has not only opened doors for these young people, it has created lasting opportunities that strengthen their confidence, resilience, and future pathways. Their support empowers students to set goals, build leadership capabilities, and develop the tools needed to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
Both partner schools share this commitment. Para Hills High School prides itself on developing young people who are confident in their abilities, secure in their identity, and inspired in their purpose, reflecting a culture of high achievement across students, staff, and the wider community. Woodville High School remains steadfast in nurturing the multidimensional growth of every student, recognising that social, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing form the foundation of learning and success.
With Adelaide Airport’s backing, our programs complement this ethos by giving students access to opportunities they may not otherwise experience. We’ve seen the impact firsthand: students complete the program more motivated, resilient, and connected to their community.
On behalf of all the young people we work with, thank you, Adelaide Airport, for your committed support and for helping our programs - and our students - truly take flight.
